Various fly tips, dog fouling, broken glass, general litter, 6th May

Mon, 06 May 2024 17:31:37 +0100
52.246317 -0.879573

Several properties have dumped household or garden waste outside which is clearly not going to be collected by the weekly bin collections. Many residents put out their bags days in advance of the Monday collection which means lots of litter as the bags get broken into by vermin / animals. In spite of litter picking regularly the street is a disgrace with dog fouling, broken glass & litter as a result of the afore mentioned issues. This has been reported regularly to Northampton Council website. Fly tips eventually get moved but no street cleaning or broken glass removal or consequences to those who put bags out days before collection .

Dangerous roof falling down into street, 6th May

Mon, 06 May 2024 14:40:29 +0100
52.253046 -0.896463

This house extension was started a few years ago and the halted due to building regulations telling the owners that the bricks used were not standard so it had to be taken down. It has sat unfinished for at least 2 years. Yesterday as I was walking down the street a piece of wood fell off the roof into the road. The roof looks like it is collapsing. The path has been left uneven and broken by the builders.

Pothole on zebra crossing, 4th May

Sat, 04 May 2024 08:29:33 +0100
52.240194 -0.858733

I reported this previously. It hasn't been fixed, but has vanished from the list of reports. There's a pothole on the zebra crossing which poses a hazard to pedestrians in particular, but also to cyclists, e-scooters and motorcyclists. If an elderly person trips in it and has a fall, they risk a broken hip, which can be life-threatening.

Numerous cars are parked, and it appears that some individuals are not local residents. Additionally, a few vehicles seem to have been unused for several months., 3rd May

Fri, 03 May 2024 15:03:04 +0100
52.230618 -0.892545

As a resident on this street, I'm encountering challenges finding parking spaces, particularly due to the presence of large vans taking up significant room. It's frustrating because these vehicles aren't supposed to be parked on the street, and their presence makes it difficult for residents like me to secure a spot. Additionally, there are several cars, notably a white van, that have been left unused for months.

Relates to report 5885551 L received an email from Fix My Street concerning the issue of a blocked drain, stating that the state had been changed to fixed .This is false information as the drain in question is still completely blocked. To clarify the position of this drain, when entering Deal Court there is a 6 space carpark on the left. When pulling in to park the drain is in the bottom right hand corner. This is at the edge of the pavement next to the bushes outside Flat 22. Carpark is used during the day. I hope this issue will be completed very soon.

Slabs by the zebra crossing on Hazeldene Rd are uneven/dipped (see picture with red cross) this has flooded a lot recently with the rain and is not draining away. Can this be looked into as there is a lot of footfall as it's by a zebra and opposite a busy surgery.

Commercial waste bins, 2nd May

Thu, 02 May 2024 18:32:00 +0100

Why is it permissible to park commercial waste bins on double yellow lines when the users have a service area especially for bin storage but they choose to use it for vehicle parking. Most of the time these bins are overflowing and blows rubbish down the road. These bins sited here also encourage fly tipping around them and a rat problem.

Why is the car rental company permitted to park every day continuously taking up the whole laybay area that is subject to double yellow lines. Any member of the public parking on yellow lines would get a parking ticket but this company seems to be exempt. Has the council got some special arrangement to allow this.
