No Entry markings on road required, 1st May
The Town Centre Manager has received a report from a Town Councillor that during a 1.5 hr period, 5 cars travelled the wrong way round the Market Place car park, entering by turning right after the bus stop. One car came past the town hall and Red Lion in the wrong direction towards oncoming traffic and then drove out the wrong way past the toilet block. The Councillor spoke with two of the drivers who went the wrong way and both said there was no signs to warn them. Please can you review the line painting and/or signage to ensure that drivers can see they are entering a one way system around the car park and along the slip lanes. It would be useful to review all the slip roads for this issue as I have also noticed cars travelling the wrong way down the slipway on the Western side of the High Street.
