Blocked drains in Church End, Potterspuy NN12 7PX, 28th April
After overnight heavy rain a vast amount of water is flowing from the field at the corner of Church End and Yardley Road down Church End. The drains in Church End are not taking this water as they are blocked with silt as we have observed previously. The water is therefore flowing over these drains onto the road until it reaches a main drain opposite Beech House Drive. We believe this to be a drain connected to the main sewer which has been overwhelmed on a previous occassion. We understand it is the responsibility of WNC to keep the drains in Church End clear of silt. This has obviously not been done for some time.

Four potholes. Biggest 700mm x 400mm., 11th April
These potholes have been here for approximately one month. They seem to be developing at a visible rate. The amount of loose stones now building up on the outside of the bend is considerable. Children often ride along this stretch of road to school etc. I am concerned that one will fall off and hurt themselves.

Drain at 58 Moorend Road not carrying away all the water, 20th March
The drain outside Moorend Road, NN12 7UF cannot take away all the water that goes down it and it pools outside number 58. There was a team of highways gulley workers who had a look for customer and they stated that the drain is not adequate to take away all the water that runs down the road to it and that another drain should be installed before the water gets to 58 to help it cope with the flow. Customer gets his windows and walls splashed with dirty water and mud. Rain run off comes down the road from where the road divides from Grays Lane.

The drain in front of 58 Moorend road is blocked and water pools on the road. The gulley crews have been by but stated the water comes down Moorend Road and then part of it goes down the drain but the rest just pools. They suggested a supplemental drain be installed in front of that drain to cope with all the run off and not have water pooling on the carriageway. Large patch of road surface broken-up, 18th March
Why are these not a potholes? Why can't the surface be fixed properly? The entrance to Potterspury along Poundfield Road from the A5 has suffered break-up every winter for the last few years. Each year it has been reported and each year we are told the holes are not deep enough to fix! It is not acceptable to have to drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid this area. PLEASE FIX IT PROPERLY ONCE AND FOR ALL! Steve Parkin on behalf of Potterspury Parish Council
