Ref 5656051 - report no. 3, 26th April

Fri, 26 Apr 2024 15:11:06 +0100
52.178604 -1.301204

Reference report number 5656051 This was reported on 25th April as being completed. I have been down and taken photos this time and would you believe it, nothing has been done, again. This is the 2nd time this report has been inspected with 'defects found', yet both times nothing has been done to rectify the state of the road, although the reports have been updated as 'fixed' on both occasions. What seems to be the problem here? Why are you reporting that the work has been completed when it clearly has not?

Deeply rutted verges on lane towards Upper Boddington, 27th March

Wed, 27 Mar 2024 16:49:58 +0000
52.182855 -1.296105

This narrow lane is to be the diversion for two years from Hardwick to Banbury because of HS2 closure of Stoneton Lane. Often Vehicles have to pull on to verges to pass. Temporary or permanent passing places need to be constructed as ordinary cars cannot cope with the deep ruts and will be damaged. This lane in its present state is unsuitable for a major, long diversion.

Large and deep pothole 1' x1.5', 27th March

Wed, 27 Mar 2024 11:21:50 +0000
52.176931 -1.295102

This pothole is on London End near the phonebox. It is impossible to miss when driving by due to parked vehicles on the other side of the road using both the garage by day and pub by night. It is one of many potholes and defects in the highway along the entire length of London End. Old repairs are falling apart and coalescing with others. The whole road has deteriorated through the winter.

Very large and deep pothole 2'x 2', 27th March

Wed, 27 Mar 2024 11:16:09 +0000
52.180352 -1.295317

I live at 33 Priors Hardwick Road. The stretch of lane from the junction with London End out past the village gate has numerous potholes with the highway edges collapsing as the verge has been destroyed by vehicles. The biggest pothole is opposite my drive. A previous pothole repaired outside my drive is collapsing. Due to the diversions imposed by HS2 works, a larger than normal passage of vehicles especially HGV has contributed to this problem. Problem has been progressive through the winter.
