The wooden slats of the seat have come off & there’s rusty bolts sticking out of the concrete. It’s at the area where the old paddling pool used to be, at the bottom of the steps coming from Beach Terrace. This post was put onto Newbiggin News & Views by a concerned resident. I’ve also sent it to the Town Clerk at Newbiggin Town Council too.

There are weeds growing all around the bus stop! The area is an eyesore and NCC have yet to do anything about the state of the area. If this is not resolved I shall be contacting my MP and making a formal complaint against NCC.

Flytipping all along back lane of king George’s road, 14th May
Over the last week various items of furniture seemed to have been dumped outside peoples houses in back lane of king George’s road ie Bed frames White cube storage etc Other items all way up back lane can this be addressed please looks a complete mess Thanks Also there’s some bad offensive graffiti painted on a garaged door opposite Chinese takeaway this has been there for a few months now it’s terrible Thanks

Blocking., 13th May
Access to main street often blocked by inconsiderate car drivers.Although faded it is obvious a path for pedestrians. I use a Mobility Scooter and am forced to take a longer way around because of cars parking across paths and shops blocking public paths.Better signs needed and traffic Warden visits more frequent.

A Abandoned Vehicle problem has been found, 13th May
Abandoned Suzuki Jeep SK52 TLJ was reported on FMS 5694025. Second customer now reporting this along with 3 other vehicles which are parked on council land ie the parking area at the end of Matfen Terrace. Vehicles have been there for months and have not moved - Suzuki is in bits. In addition to the Jeep there is a Talbot Motorhome H607 VCP, a Ford Transit (possibly minibus) YK07 YOA and another car - details unknown. Customer is worried that they may be targetted by arsonists

Bin left on public highway, 13th May
Green recycle bin has been filled with garden waste and rubble, obviously bin men won't empty, neighbours at 230 woodhorn refuse to take bin back in there garden, just concerned it will be tipped over and spread across the roadway

3 lights in matfen terrace have failed to come on tonight ! They were on friday, I don't know about last night as I wasn't at home. This is becoming quite a regular problem.

Where the burger van is often parked adjacent to the roundabout there is litter all over. The area is an utter mess and looks like nothing has been done for months.
