Water on road, 26th February
Water coming onto road at point marked on map, running down road to west and then tracking across both sides of the road at the junction to Hallington. Severe deterioration of the road surface at the junction ( have previously reported pothole ) Water then pools just within Hallington road and I have had to divert the water onto my land as very dangerous when frozen. This problem has continued for all of the winter and I think it has to do with a blocked field drain on the north side of the road at the point where the water comes onto the main road. I have tried to contact the owner of the land but so far he hasn’t returned my call.

Running water Little Bavington, 11th January
Water is constantly running downhill, then across the carriageway on the corner before Little Bavington on the B6342. This makes the corner dangerous, extremely dangerous in low temperatures, when it washes the grit away and turns to ice.

Significant safety issue, 29th October
I had a significant accident, writing off my car, when someone came straight on at this junction. In my view, apart from all road markings being significantly faded the signage at this recognised accident black spot is totally inadequate! There MUST be something which indicates that the major road (of the two) turns the right angle bend. I would advise taking action on this before someone is killed or seriously injured!

A Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging problem has been found, 11th July
A Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging problem has been found by Northumberland County Council
Police have been in contact regarding a recent incident on the B6342 at the right angled bend outside Steel Rigg. It appears that the existing road markings are worn around the bend, the existing signs in advance of the bend are masked by vegetation and vegetation around the inside of the bend affects visibility for motorists turning right into the junction whilst travelling east (northbound)

Dangerous road surface., 23rd December
This piece of road just past the cottages at Little Bavington on both sides of the road is terrible and very dangerous for cyclists and motor cyclists. Motorists frequently are seen swerving all over the road to try and find an undamaged surface but there isn't any. It needs complete and proper resurfacing please.
