10pm at night, no street lights, 29th July
It is 10pm at night and there are no street lights on the main road going through the blackwood village on Carlisle Road. Street lights are erratic at the best of times. The issue has been occurring over the last few weeks.

Trucks, 15th January
In the last few weeks, large trucks have started using this minor road - there are several blind bends where they cross into (potentially) oncoming traffic. I thought there was a weight limit here because of the bridges at Burnfoot?

Pot hole, 14th December
Heading towards Johnstons Nursery from Larkhall and just by the Clydesdale marker pole on l/h, there is a rather large pothole which is getting bigger by the day, it has been there since Sunday 1 st December 2013 when noticed by myself,. someone is going to come a cropper with damage to their vehicle if this is left unattended.

Start again, 3rd April
This junction has been the subject of roadworks (gas mains I think) for 3 weeks, and we thought it had finished. There are now new roadworks with out-of-work signals. There is a water leak somewhere near the mini roundabout which has turned the road into an ice rink every morning for the last month, it is heavily potholed and a feeble attempt to patch it up has made things worse. Also the entrance to the work yard on the N side of the road is now an unofficial car park, which means that you can't see past the bottleneck to check for oncoming cars. This whole junction needs completely sorting out, then resurfaced, and the bottleneck removed.

State of road, 9th January
The Lairs is in need of repair! This is the older side, numbers 1 to 35. The holes are for ever getting filled in. Today council workers have came out to repaint the 20 speed marks!!!!!

Unfinish roadworks, 30th June
Someone has dug up the road outside the Doctors surgery, weeks ago, placed a yellow plate over the hole and put some cones around it and left it. This causes problems for traffic, especially when people park outside the doctors. Seems whoever dug this hole has just forgot about it.

Water leak, 17th January
Water is leaking from somewhere near the crossroads - saw this yesterday and assumed someone was washing their car, but the water was still running this morning. There is now a large ice monster all along the footpath.

Dangerous large pothole, 8th January
Pothole is located on the inside lane of the southbound M74 prior to marker 36.2. It is located close to the white line demarking the hard shoulder. It is trianular in shape wuth a deep straight forward edge tapering to the back. We hit it at about 0620 on the 3rd of January, the day of the 92 mph gusts. We hit it at about 70 miles an hour. We managed to pull over to the hard shoulder. However the dreadfully strong winds prevented us from evacuating the children from the car. A police patrol spotted and marked us and the AA took us off the road. The cost of the puncture was £150 plus an extra day of holiday to deal with it before driving South to Sussex where we live.

Flooding, 19th March
Water is continually flowing from farmers field onto footpath and road. If you are walking on the footpath you have to go onto the road to avoid the water.
