No street lights for a half mile stretch, 24th January
All street lights on the brae between Steels Cross and Kirkfieldbank are out. This is the main road for pedestrians and cyclists (as well as vehicular traffic) between Lanark and Kirkfieldbank, so the lack of lighting is very dangerous.

Pot Hole, 7th January
The road was recently resurfaced but a poor job was made at the entrance to Green Towers Farm. There is a huge, unavoidable hole in the road thats always full of mucky water which hides the depth of the hole.

Major damage to Cartland Road, 15th January
Continuous flow of water from the field above the new housing development at Cartland Mains farm across Cartland Road is causing disintegration of the road surface. This has been happening for several months, and it is now almost impossible to drive safely on the left hand side of the road, forcing vehicles into the middle of the road.

Newly Repaired Road Sinking, 7th December
The newly repaired surface is sinking on the southbound carriageway just before the junction with Westport. This has left a sharp-edged hole. Also a gas valve cover is sinking with the road surface.

Pavement sinking , 26th May
4-6 weeks ago Outside 16 Springfield Gardens Scottish Water dug the payment up to repair a burst water main. Now it has been filled the payment is sinking very badly & a big hole is appearing.

Ridgepark School access road, 25th June
Potholed, causing pedestrians to trip and damage to vehicles. This repair is long overdue and the council are fortunate not to have had any accident claims made against them.

The above road is in a disgraceful condition. in my opinion it requires fixing urgently as it iss now dangerous as we are having to avoid about 40 potholes within 1 mile of narrow road
