Weeds and grass overgrowing so pavement is unusable, 23rd August

Thu, 23 Aug 2012 13:24:03 +0100
55.661571 -3.734115

The pavement alongside the Lanark racecourse gets narrower and narrower as it heads towards Hyndford Bridge, due to the an excessive amount of of weeds and grass overgrowing onto it. At several points, there is not room for two people to pass each other and walkers must walk on the busy A73 main road to pass each other. Additionally, the weeds (in parcticular, knettles) are so overgrown on the pavement outside the former barracks that the post box there is practically unusable without being stung by 4 foot high nettles.
