FIXMYSTREET IN M26 4FN
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of M26 4FN:
Non existent road marking at staggered junction., 2nd May
This junction is staggered with a right only turn on the outside lane from Higher Ainsworth Road. I have been involved in an incident and have witnessed others where drivers have driven from the outside lane straight across forcing drivers on the inside lane to swerve or stop to avoid a collision. At this same junction the road markings have disappeared from the Bolton and Bury Road outside lane causing driver from Higher Ainsworth Road to cut across a lane intended for 'right turning' vehicles. Rather than just reinstating the original markings I would suggest also including some positive identification markings on the right turn such as a coloured tarmac lane (similar to the lane at junction 17 M62) if funding allows. This problem has existed for over a year and I would be surprised to be the only one to notice.

Massive hole around grid in road, 16th April
Spotted while driving. There’s a dropped grid in the road and a massive hole around it, would cause a serious accident/ damage to person or vehicle if wasn’t spotted in time. Especially at night. I’m not from around the area but it’s on the main road facing the car wash, easily to spot. Dumers lane.
