Dangerous Zebra Crossing, 2nd May
I use this zebra crossing on Gap Road near Moffat Court 10 times a week when dropping off and picking my son up from his childminders.
Almost everytime I use it someone drives straight over the crossing without looking when I’m about to step out or I am half way across.
A couple of weeks ago my husband almost got hit by a car on the same crossing. He had just dropped our son off and was half way across the zebra crossing with out dog when a car just went straight over - my husband had to put his hand out to stop himself falling into the car which smashed the window of the car and my husband was covered in deep cuts from his hand going through the window. He reported this incident to the police.
I fear for mine and my son’s safety every single time I use this crossing, it’s so dangerous. A couple of weeks ago the crossing was out of use and lights were put in temporarily which was much safer.
Can something be done here please? Whether it be a camera so people can be caught, clearer signage warning of the crossing, a button and lights put in.
People are definitely paying zero attention to the crossing and they’re also definitely doing more that 20 MPH!

Alleyway overflowing in rain due to blocked drain, 28th April
Only happens since recently and when it rains, alleyway forms big puddles due to no drainage from one of the drains on the side of Jimmy Fairly, halfway into the alleyway. The alleyway increasingly gets used by smoking local staff, who leave litter and cigarette butts. As a resident I often clean up, as council staff never sweep the alley
