Deep ruts at side of road, 8th March
There is a deep rut at the side of the road which is difficult to see in daylight and virtually impossible to see in the dark. This morning a vehicle was grounded - see photo. Filling the rut and/or warning posts with reflectors would be helpful

Horrendous potholes, 6th February
Terrible pot holes all the way down Sychdyn Lane. Will need to sort them all the way down from top road to the farm, a lot to fill in! Not good at all. There is also a manhole cover that has sank. This is damaging our car suspensions and tyres and any further damage will result in us sending an invoice to the council.

Overgrown hedges, 29th July
The hedges down Sychdyn lane are HORRENDOUS, they are scratching vehicles paint work and a invoice will be sent to the council for the repair work on the damaged vehicles due to the lack of hedge cutting. It’s been needed to be cut since 6 weeks but by now a complaint must be filed. Thanks

Blocked roadside surface water drain, 12th March
At bend junction with unclassified road to Cae Gwyn Holiday cottages, totally blocked,water overflowing - only installed last year as part of full road surface programme - all other new drains in vicinity ok

Gully/drain collapse, 9th December
The drain/gully here has sunk causing a aggressive pothole/drop in the road causing great strain to suspension of vehicles. Having spoken to the council workers this morning who are filling a few potholes, they’ve said that the drain needs lifting up and repairing and to send the council a photo so they can get someone out to repair this. Probably a mini digger job? Springs and suspension on the cars are taking a major hammering due to this problem.

On going pothole issue, 24th November
Potholes all the way down to Sychdyn from the top road, it needs sorting. It’s an ongoing issue and never gets sorted properly by the council. It’s causing damage to cars and the council will be held liable to this. A proper solution needs to be done

Major landslide, 1st February
The heavy rain has caused major land slides along this road causing it near impossible to get through with our cars. This is a council lane therefore any damage or loss of income from not being able to leave the premises will be inflicted on the council. Not only vehicles can’t leave easily but other business associated vehicles can hardly get to the premises. Taking a large slice off the the whole lane may be the best result long term but something needs to be done short term immediately. Thank you.

Blocked drain here again causing water to Welsh Water meter cabinet ., 17th January
Second time this has occurred, previously cleared, but apparently not successful. The meter cabinet is continuously flooding. The earlier problem I believe caused the malfunction of the old meter which has been replaced with new one. This is the supply o my property “ Plas Alaw “.

Potholes, 20th October
I’ve had an email saying that our road has been fixed and the case is now closed. The road has not been fixed, it’s full of potholes and the drains need clearing. The potholes are causing damage to the cars.

Blocked rain gully on lane to Sychdyn Farm., 15th October
This drain has been blocked for ages. It is now causing the road surface to deteriorate, also flooding is occurring further down toward farm entrance. I believe an earlier message has been reported about an ongoing issue with the state of the road surface due to a lack of maintenance here. It appears to me that this lane is “ off the map “ as far as the council is concerned !

Persistent potholes, 8th September
Multiple potholes all the way down our council owned lane. Had a compaint today from a friend that says they think they’ve damaged their wheel in a pot hole at the bottom of our lane die to the councils neglect! I filled a complaint a few weeks ago and the council came out and did a small section of the lane but then “ran out” of materials therefore couldn’t complete the job. The member off staff said that they would return that week to finish the job off and what a surprise, they didn’t! This was well over a month ago. Shocking road surface all the way down which needs great attention from the council and not to be ignored.

Persistent potholes, 16th July
Multiple potholes has been POORLY repaired by the council a few months ago, a job that I would describe As half hearted and lasted all of 2 weeks. The council is legally supposed to maintain this lane as it is council owned. There’s multiple potholes all the way down the lane which are now causing damage to the vehicles having to travel down the lane, damage that the council will be liable to financially pay for due to them not maintaining the road as they should. As well as the serious multiple potholes, the hedges down this lane have not been cut as they usually should have been done by now by the council, causing scratches to paint work of vehicles (again, council will be liable to cover this cost unless they sort the lane out soon). What’s frustrating is that the hedge cutter has been past the top of the lane and it would have taken him 5-10minutes just to do the lane while he was in the area.
