A cone is covering an open drain on Nightingale Crescent, outside number 31. The cone is upright and protruding about a foot into the road. Underneath the cone you can see that the drain hole cover is missing and another cone has been pushed upside down into the open drain. This is a hazard to road users and pedestrians, as well as preventing the drain from adequately allowing water through. This has been present for about 3 weeks, since mid-April.

Outside number 41 Nightingale Crescent, 16th May
A drain cover has been removed outside 41 Nightingale Crescent. A traffic cone has been placed into the open drain with a bag of sand on top, in order to weigh the cone down. The cone has now been pushed so far into the open drain that it is blocking the drain, preventing water to run through. Also this is creating an uneven road surface and a hazard for road users and pedestrians. It has been a problem for several weeks - since about mid-April.

Loose manhole cover banging, 15th May
Every time a car passes over the manhole it bangs loudly. It’s on the southbound side of the road, opposite Russell Street. Can be heard quite some distance away.

Nightingale Crescent, Birchwood, Lincoln. Outside no. 50, 15th May
The drain cover has been removed and not replaced. Instead 2 upturned traffic cones have been placed into the open drain. This is covering the hole, but the base of the cones now protrudes significantly higher than the road surface and about a foot into the road way. This is presenting a hazard to road users as well as a trip hazard to pedestrians crossing the road. This problem has been going on since mid-April (April 23rd-ish).

Collapsed verge outside 29, 15th May
Collapsed verge from previous tree. It measures 7inch deep as seen in photo. Tarmac lifted and uneven to side of verge. This needs sorting. It is not the residents responsibility to maintain this to keep children safe. Accidents have been witnessed from children running and falling as they do not anticipate a 7 inch dip there!

Outside entrance to LSST school, 14th May
Per the photos, three large potholes outside entrance to LSST school. First reported in February but still not sorted. There are numerous reports on FixMyStreet. Please see ref 495333 and 2801213. Highways in Feb and March and also May said work is actioned but nothing is ever done. Things are getting unacceptable now. I do not understand why the work has not been completed. Please action.

Skellingthorpe road and Hemswell avenue junction., 14th May
I must write to you about a dangerous and illegal practice on the Skellingthorpe road and Hemswell avenue junction.
There is a large grass triangle / green inside the pavement on the corner surrounded by paved footpath opposite the school. Identical greens on the corner of other roads in the area like Uffington avenue have hooped metal rails around it to stop cars driving over or parking on it. There are regularly cars parked on the grass on Skellingthorpe road and Hemswell avenue junction, usually the people living on the flats adjacent. The only way to get onto this green space is by driving over one or more footpaths , there are no drop kerbs or legal access. I personally have nearly been hit by a car driving off the green and frequently see the school children from the school directly opposite have to scatter as cars treat the paths and grass like a road.
Not only is it illegal to drive over footpaths in the first place, this constant parking of cars is turning the grass area into an uneven mud pit, making it an eyesore. The green was meant to allow visibility for people driving from Skellingthorpe road to Hemswell avenue and cars parking there obstructs that visibility.
Cars driving over the footpaths t use this green is an accident waiting to happen, especially with the number of children passing from the school. I will be reporting my near miss to the police but I request now that the council put barriers around the grass as it has done to identical green corners in the area like those Uffington Avenue etc.
