Blocked drain near the head of Wood Lane which is public bridleway not on private land, 19th February
This blocked drain was reported fairly recently by a neighbour. It was supposedly dealt with by the Council's contractor. In fact the drain which was cleared was on the opposite side of the road to Wood Lane so the problem remains. Discharge from two houses sewage treatment systems (legitimately I think because one is a sewage treatment plant and the other is a reed bed system) are fed into this drain so at times, when families are all at home, there are quantities of overflow from this drain which then flows down the bridleway.

Tall tree is dead, and needs to be surveyed by tree officer to determine whether it is unsafe and needs felled. Heavy Ivy growth means that bottom of tree is not visible but reports of broken limbs falling. If it falls it could fall into the carpark, onto some houses in the grounds or onto the council wheelie bins and refuse vehicle access to the site.

Concrete Girder at entrance of Bridle way, 15th November
The Girder has been put at the entrance to.the bridle way bynthe farm manager to stop travellers illegally accessing the land. It leaves only a small gap for horses to squeeze through. Some horses spook and will.not pass through because it is covered in vegetation. Being this close to the A47 on a horse already presents safety problems and this adds to them. A rider friendly gate should be installed.
A kilometer further up the track, nearer to Ridlington, where the bridle way passes between.2 hedges is is very overgrown. The shrubs and hedges need cutting back. The land is believed to be owned by Parker Farms.
