The works being carried out by national grid were licensed to take place for 2 weeks. 4 weeks later the work is still not complete and no workmen have been here for days. The works outside our house mean we can not get into our drive without having to bump up the kerb which is damaging our cars. The work needs completing.

The road is breaking away from the kerbside at the end of our drive, 8th April
This was deemed not worthy of repair when last reported, however the issue has become worse following recent rain, and is now deep enough in places for me to get my foot into the gap. This is a problem when driving on and off our drive, and more importantly caused my grandson to fall off his bike while staying with us last week.

Damaged pavement edging due to pavement parking, 9th March
Damage has been caused to numerous areas to the pavements on bridge street langham due to vehicles parking on the pavements. The majority being people using our pavements as a car park are the school runs. Now over time and relentless complaints they are breaking up our pavements. A lot of the pavement edging has been knocked out and loosened in many places by vehicles bumping up and off of the pavements. The highway code says you should not park on pavements [ but not must not ] . However it does say if damage is being caused by pavement parking then local authorities do have the power to stop said pavement parking. The damage being caused is only going to get worse unless Pavement parking on Bridge Street is stopped.

Ongoing damage, 29th February
I have reported twice, as has my neighbour, of a damaged man-hole outside of my house on lowther close. When it was first reported, before Christmas, someone from the council came to look at it and said they were very busy so could be a while before it was fixed. When the damage worsened, I reported again. Someone from the council came out again and sprayed yellow paint over the man-hole (this was about 5 weeks ago). Today, someone has come again from the council to repair the damage and we’ve been told it has to be Severn Trent who repair it, so a plastic surround has been placed around it. Why were the 2 previous inspectors from the council unable to say that Severn Trent needed to repair the damage? It could have been passed to them months ago instead of having to wait till the third inspector came out, 3 months later. This has prolonged the issue hugely.
