This street light has been out well before Christmas plus when it was working someone had replaced the bulb with a candle bulb which did not shed very much light. Can this be repaired as quickly as possible as I live right at the end of this street and it is extremely dark of an evening.

Excessive leaves on Pavements, 3rd November

Fri, 03 Nov 2023 10:57:19 +0000
53.820607 -1.251223

Due to heavy autumn leave fall, we have excessive leaves on paths. We have a majority of older citizens in the village, and this causes a slip/trip hazard to them in heavy rain and when they deteriorate, turning slimy mush.

53.820607 -1.251223

We have excessive leaves from the autumn fall blocking the drains & gutters along Common Road, leading to church street. This is causing un necessary flooding & pooling during heavy rainfall. the paths are also covered causing a very real slip/trip hazard. This can be avoided with a regular autumn road sweep through this area.

Hope you can sort it please.

Hello…. We have excess leaves on the roads, paths & in the gutters, from the autumn tree shed. The walking on footpath is very sloppy on rain and the drains are filling up fast with leaves, which will lead to flooding in heavy downpours. Regular road sweep required along common road & church street over the next month please to limit slips, trips & flooded drains

Due to autumn fall of leaves, we have an excess of leaves along the paths, road & gutters. These will rapidly block the drains & covers, Leading to Unecessary flooding when we get heavy rainfall - Particularly bad on church street leading to common road where there are many trees. A drive through on both sides would give excellent results. Thank you

35 - 40 cars parked on the roadside on Sat mornings for football club compromising access along Finkle Hill, access and egress from Ellerfield Lane and also Fields Garden Centre., 29th September

Wed, 29 Sep 2021 13:31:11 +0100
53.802721 -1.253929

The car parking on the roadside has significantly worsened since the start of the season with cars now parked all the way from the club to the last house close to the roundabout. This restricts car movements along Finkle Hill in affect making it a one lane road as 35 - 40 cars are parked nose to tail preventing cars / other larger vehicles from passing safely. This is also causing issues for residents accessing the highway from Ellerfield Lane and also cars going to the Fields garden centre. In the past cars parked in the car park or any extra surplus cars parked on Finkle Hill between the tennis courts / the bowling alley and the football club entrance which was deemed satisfactory on a periodic basis to allow access and to allow the highway to flow reasonably well at peak times. The football club need to stagger and plan their training / matches to ensure most cars are able to park in their own dedicated car park to avoid this congestion or to extend their car park to match the numbers attending to avoid an inappropriate number parking past Ellerfield lane and down towards the roundabout. I would be grateful if you could look into this and take action to avoid any accidents and also for the youngsters attending the club getting safely into their cars. The cars are also in affect parking on the pavement area which is restricting pedestrians / dog walkers from walking / jogging safeley at the road side on Finkle Hill to Ellerfield lane which is public footpath. I am aware of 2 incidents already from this mis-use of parking and this is surely going to escalate to a serious injurry unless this is addressed immediately. I suggest the roadway from the Ellerfield lane to the roundabout should be double yellow lined or classified as no parking / waiting for any purpose to maintain the flow of traffic. Many thanks

Good morning. We have many trees and now debris in gutters. Heavy rainfall would wash it into the grates and then cause flooding (prevention) , which it can be prone to, due to the slope. we only have 1 main road through from Common Road/ Church Street / Main Street. out of school hours works best as we have a primary & a nursery in hte village (parking & narrow roads)

Overgrown path, 1st July

Thu, 01 Jul 2021 11:17:51 +0100
53.820961 -1.249549

Hello ...the path on Common Road from Barkston Ash to Church Fenton has completely overgrown. It is a narrow path only wide enough for single file and just wide enough for a wheelchair or Pram. It is the ONLY route on foot between the villages. It is very popular with walkers, runners and commuters making their way to train station. Babies in a pram would be whipped in the face from the overgrown grass & Hedges - forcing users to go onto the main road - which is a very dangerous hazard. It is in urgent need of a cut.
