Parking on double yellow lines and blocking pavement., 4th September

Mon, 04 Sep 2023 11:38:48 +0100
53.857076 -1.563197

Vehicles continually park on the double yellow line on King Lane. This happens daily outside of the Cooplands shop. This particular vehicle was also blocking the pavement. Other vehicles also park up on the pavement each day. Ample parking is available for vehicles in the car park over the road and on the parking area immediately outside the shops. This driver chose to ignore both parking locations.

Traffic lights do not change when my bicycle waits at red light, 29th April

Fri, 29 Apr 2022 11:20:02 +0100
53.856165 -1.59098

I think these lights must be fitted with a metal detecting sensor. If I wait at them on my bicycle and there are no cars waiting, then they do not change from red. Almost as soon as a car pulls up they change.

Leylandii confers planted down edge of service road are out of control, 15th January

Sat, 15 Jan 2022 16:45:12 +0000
53.850393 -1.579079

Leylandii conifers planted by owner occupiers of 7 Woodstock Close block the sight line for drivers entering and leaving the service road (adopted highway). The danger relates not only to drivers but pedestrians using this service road which does not have a pavement. The leylandii are bushy and at least 4 metres in height. In my view the leylandii should be removed from this position and replaced with a 1 metre high fence.

Pothole, 19th September

53.879491 -1.564503

I hit a pothole here a while ago. (23rd March 2018 around 0730). I didn’t realise at the time that I had a problem. Since then I started getting vibrations on the motorway. Subsequently, I’ve needed to change two wheels and two tyres because of buckles and tracking problems wearing the tyres and tyre wall breaches. I have receipts and pictures of my wheels/tyres. I revisited the site to photograph once I started getting problems and the holes had been filled.

There are some kerbs on a 90deg bend that have been pushed by heavy vehicles and some that are seated correctly. The ones seated correctly now expose a dangerous sharp edge. I went around the corner slightly too sharp and the kerb tore a hole in my tyre.

People parking on blind bend when council have added double yellow lines., 1st August

Tue, 01 Aug 2017 16:58:24 +0100
53.855639 -1.559997

Since new tenants took over house on the corner of King Drive & Sunningdale Ave - approx 4 weeks), they have had a number of cars, over different days, parking outside, with several parked overnight where the council recently put double yellow lines on the bend. Cars are parking on the pavement with their wheels on the double yellow lines. Since the council put the yellow lines in I don't think I have ever seen a traffic warden. There have also been numerous occasions since the lines were out in (approx 6 weeks) where delivery vans and work lorries have parked on the double yellow lines. Just very annoying when all other residents are abiding by the rules of the new lines and also makes walking down the path dangerous and the blind bend very dangerous.
