This vehicle keeps parking on the kerb on my street and it is left for a long period outside my house. The problem is that they park so far on the kerb I struggle to get out and when it's bin day I can barely get the bin through without it touching his vehicle. I have left a note on as this is happening 2 to 3 times a week if not more sometimes everyday the parking on the street is bad and most cars are on the kerb which I understand is there only option but no consideration is taken from this owner as the car is parked on over half of the pavement.

Close parking by next door neighbour, 28th November

Tue, 28 Nov 2023 10:55:20 +0000
53.806903 -1.623055

Re: 8 Eightlands Avenue, LS13 2BU I have permission from Leeds City Council to have a dropped kerb which will be happening very soon. However my next door neighbour persistently causes me an obstruction to enter my driveway if another vehicle is parked over the road. Today I parked my vehicle outside my house after taking my daughter to school and the next door neighbour has taken her car out of her drive to place it in front of mine, which is millimetres away literally I am so angry and annoyed by the fact that she has absolutely no consideration of others around her. I am a disabled individual with a blue badge and have recently extended the width of my driveway for easier access to my property Please can you write a letter stating that permission has been granted for a dropped kerb and that she just can't continue to park her car like this, especially so close to mine. Its an inconvenience and she's obstructing other vehicles coming out of their driveways as we are in the end of a cul-de-sac This has been happening for a while now, clearly trying to be awkward and extremely uncooperative See pictures If you need further information I will be happy to oblige I look forward to hearing from you very soon Thank you

Hawthorn, brambles and bushes overgrown into road, 28th September

Thu, 28 Sep 2023 08:23:38 +0100
53.81116 -1.584552

The council owns a small square of land (behind a green metal fence) at the top of Talbot Avenue. It has not been maintained since the start of the pandemic. It was previously left as grass and cut occasionally, but has now been abandoned to hawthorn, ivy, brambles and convuvulus. The bushes and brambles are overgrown and swallowing up more and more of the road at the top end of Talbot Avenue. Because the bushes are not maintained, they trap litter and limit access. Both road and pavement are blocked by vegetation originating from the unmaintained piece of council-owned land. No one from the council has entered the land or cleared the area around the fence at the top of the road for three and a half years. The vegetation is slowly advancing down the road. Ideally the plot of council land should be cut back annually at the end of the growing season to allow pollinator-friendly plants and flowers to thrive without it becoming a complete wasteland. One visit a year in autumn /winter could be enough keep it in order. But if the land can't be maintained, then the road at least should be kept clear.

Knotweed found on council owned land, 22nd May

Mon, 22 May 2023 14:03:44 +0100
53.826905 -1.615875

Along the woody verge of a public pathway, indications of invasive knotweeds are clearly visible. Evidently, these persistent plants have been undisturbed for quite some time, as demonstrated by the long, dry, brown canes juxtaposed with fresh, recently emerged shoots. Their unchecked growth is becoming a tangible concern, as they are now extending their reach to the edge of the path. If local council authorities do not promptly intervene, these resilient weeds will approach the neighbouring properties, infiltrating and wreaking havoc in their gardens.

Abbeydale Way Closed For Roadworks - Blocks All Access To Abbeydale Oval & Beyond, 1st May

Mon, 01 May 2023 18:32:41 +0100
53.825109 -1.618761

Hi There are roadwork plans in place for Abbeydale Way to close the whole road that leads into Abbeydale Oval, this is the only way into Abbeydale Oval, Abbeydale Gardens, Abbeydale Garth and Abbeydale Grove. You can't close the entire road both ways as there are 50+ houses that require the road to get in or out Will access be maintained on 1 side whilst the road surface is been relayed? What is the exact date it's due to start? it says 1st may - 16th May online, but signs on the road say 6th May start. There are alot of angry residents who won't accept a full road closure on abbeydale way as its the only way in or out. and there are alot of nurses and carers that require access due to there been alot of elderly people here. Not to mention any other type of delivery Please clarify whats happening and whether access for residents will always be maintained whilst the work is been carried out
