This road had been temporary repair since 2018 but since there has been work on the road adjacent (Gurnal Bridge Lane) the pothole s have reappeared much worse because of the 30 tonne vehicles using this road.

Potholes (half a dozen) getting worse by the day. deepest is currently over 100mm deep. V.dangerous for cyclists. The deep one is adjacent to the Armco - an 'off' here and you could easily end up in the river far below!

The junction where Paddy Lane meets the Appleby road has very restricted visibility both to the left and right., 10th July
Traffic coming from Appleby into Kendal is fast moving and there is a bend immediately before the junction on the left. Traffic coming from Kendal is also fast and there is also a bend. Vehicles exiting Paddy Lane onto the Appleby Road have to edge right out onto the road to gain any visibility of oncoming traffic. This is highly dangerous

Deep Ridge in Road, 27th December
There is a deep ridge across one half of the road (A685) between the turning for Benson Hall Farm and Stocks Farm when driving from Kendal to Grayrigg. This is damaging to the vehicles suspension and cars are required to swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid this recess in the road.
