14 inch potholes on Heaning lane, in multiple places, going from the main road into the Heaning, 6th January
These potholes are becoming an issue and because it is a single carriageway along Heaning lane, into the village, it is a considerable hazard. They have been left for months and getting worst. On top of this, they are filled with water making it a serious hazard for motorists, cyclists and horse riders. I know the weather has made things worst (snow etc) but I’m just letting you know before it causes damage/injury. It is also going to cost more to fix if it is left. Very large rim damaging potholes, 17th November
Hi, The potholes have been getting worse for months. They are deep and full of water which is a dangerous combination. This is the main road into the Heaning musket.

There’s half a traffic cone in middle of road, hard to see, could cause accident.

Very large potholes in the Heaning lane and too many to take photos, 31st May
These potholes are unavoidable and have been like this all winter. The worst is approximately 10 inches deep

Salt bins empty,, requires salt on this hill please do not put grit with salt, 12th January
Salt bins are empty up hill PLEASE do not mix with grit as I use only six shovel loads when I grit the lane in the early hours of the morning

Excessive gravel & farm debris, 24th August
All the way from Ings to Thwaites Lane, there is debris on the footpath/cycleway. Of particular concern is the descent past Bannerigg farm and into the dip. There is a lot of gravel & rocks where the farm tracks cross, just where cyclists need to be braking and turning. This is dangerous and could lead to serious injury. Beyond that, where the path gets used as a bypass when the road is flooded, the surface is damaged by the frequent use of the footpath by vehicles. Again, it causes a significant hazard to legitimate footpath users.

Deep hole around drainage grid on road side, approaching Ings from motorway opposite road sign for Staveley on other side of road.

Subsidence, 10th April
At the junction of the roads there is subsiding down the centre of the road where UU placed undrground water pipes. This has got progressively worse over the past few weeks

S590/1 Road Markings, 21st November
Driving along this stretch of road between the M6 J36 and Ings, the road markings are very poor. The reflective paint is very worn and many cats eyes are missing. In my husband's car with Xenon headlights it is better than my car with ordinary headlights.
