Between the Burton-in Kendal services and J36 north bound M6 there are about 100m of potholes and deep rutting between the second and third lane - but mainly in the third lane. These rutts appear to be around 3cm + deep

Corrugated asbestos and builders debris, 13th March
First reported end of December to Westmorland and Furness Council who passed it on to Highways, since then more has been fly tipped on embankment of north bound carriageway below bridge north of Burton Services.

No accessible footpath, 6th March
The bridleway on Slape Lane is difficult to access due to severe mud. The severe mud makes it unable to walk through which is there during all weather. The bridleway appears to require maintenance by flattening and placing stones or rocks to allow access to all.

Fly Tipped Asbestos on your land, 31st January
Just at the bridge starts west bound from Burton in Kendal (Station Road) there is Asbestos over the metal fence. My role at the Council deals with fly tipping, we have placed a sticker at the site, no evidence on site. As the land owner National Highways are responsible for clearance.

Potholes, 17th January
There’s a pothole on the west side of the road as you head towards Whasset, possibly around a manhole cover. I think it’s been repaired previously but has degraded again.

Cone on M6, 2nd November
There is a traffic cone on the m6 , This is next to Burton service station heading north. The cone is on the overtaking lane. it is on the grass verge, High winds could move this and cause a crash

Duke Street Parking, 7th October
There are cars parked on Duke street which do not allow HGVs to get past as the street is narrow. All houses on Duke Street have off road parking behind their houses. I would propose a solid white line to be put round the corner and up the road to avoid cars parking inappropriately.

Big pothole, hazard to vehicles, 14th July
Very large pothole and smaller ones under the Ewan Mill aqueduct, our car bounced badly going over it today, and it's not very visible as the aqueduct is long and unlit, so the hole will cause damage or an accident if not fixed.

18 inch to around 2 foot, 31st January
I left my mums house from visit her and went up the road toward Crooklands and to the side of the road there is a huge pothole I never seen it before but I have damaged a front and back alloy wheel my car went with a crunch as my partner drover over it as we dident see it its on the left hand side after the turning to go to pear tree park going towards the junction 36
