Blocked drains, 3rd December
Hi, I reported two blocked drains in the road outside our house, Cawood House in Arkholme. Your team came out a few days ago to clear the problem, but it is flooded again today. Thanks Steve Clode

Overflowing drains B6254, 29th September
The drain under the B6254 outside the Sheiling in Arkholme has again blocked. Rainwater from the land above is flooding into the private drainage system in the Sheiling and overflowing in front of the houses. This is a continuing problem that has been reported to the Council at least 3 times this year.

Blocked grid on road outside 2 The Sheiling resulting in overflow of surface water onto properties at 3 and 4 The Sheiling. Also causing sinking of privately maintained block paving., 12th March
This fault was reported by residents last year but has not been addressed. The Sheiling lies at the bottom of a hillside from which large amounts of surface water drain away. The grid takes in lots of leaves and has become blocked. This problem occurs with light rainfall, let alone heavy rainfall.

Persistant car owner parking on narrow pavement, 5th March
Arkholme with Cawood Parish Council B6254 Kirkby Lonsdale Road approximately outside West House. Persistant car owner PE03 SYC parks their vehicle with passenger tyres on a narrow pavement. A parishioner has to walk along the highway with their child in a buggy and older child to and from the school, walking with the flow of traffic on the way to school. This is a hazard and potential Road Traffic Collision. Please advise.

20mph signs into the village are ALL flashing 24hours, 5th March
Arkholme with Cawood Parish Council 4 x 20mph signage warning drivers of approaching school are ALL flashing 24hours a day. On the b6254 Kirkby Lonsdale Road both ends of the village, Snab Green Lane and on Main Street.

School warning lights, 4th March
The lights which restrict speed due to school run times are flashing at all hours of the day and night, they are intermittent so not flashing constantly but mostly at 10pm and beyond. We don't seem to be the only school in the district having this problem as I have noted the same issue in Bolton le Sands too. I am receiving phone calls from annoyed residents at school who assume it is under our control. Please rectify this asap.

Pavement breaking up., 12th November
The grass verges have overgrown on the entrance to Meadoway. A parishioner attempted to clear the areas of grass to make safe the pavement for, particularly schoolchildren and elderly residents, and uncovered the degradation of the edgings and the previously covered broken pavement.

Pavements overgrown with grass as this is not mown sufficiently by Council, 23rd April
The pavements are obscured by grass that is overgrowing from the verges. This is making the path treacherous and hazardous, especially for the elderly residents that live on Meadoway, as reported to myself by one particularly concerned resident.

Potholes along a short stretch of the highway., 13th April
There are many potholes along a short stretch that have been getting worse over the past few months, and have not been fixed even though they have been reported many times. i have included pictures which show the depths of the potholes and a picture showing that they cover both sides of the road along the stretch. there were many more potholes along this stretch, of which i have photographs of them all, but it will only allow me to attach 3 images.

Water flowing down the highway B6254 from the junction at Lane House to the Beckerthwaite bridge, 3rd December
Unsure if this flowing (and freezing) water flow is due toa blocked gulley, burst water main or general flood overflow from the fields, but it is a high risk hazard. Please advise.
