The road through Yealand Redmayne has large and often deep potholes everywhere which it is often necessary to drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid. The number of potholes makes the road more like lace and it needs resurfacing.

Really bad road serface from leighton moss shop to the silverdale sign on the way to yealand. Around 800m, 27th January
Road surfaces around this area is really poor and dangerous. It's been like this for a year or so at least. Bikes have to ride in the middle of the road in a 60 mph limit . Not seen anything g like this in Lancaster or morecambe . It's been patched several times and theses areas are treacherous. Please recover the whole section.if possible

4 Bags of rubbish.3 in clear Travis Perkins labelled bags. 1 may contain corrugated roofing asbestos, 10th December
This rubbish has been several months. It is sited on the east side of the road at about SD 49324 76553. Climb Thrang End brow from the North there is a break in the stone wall on your left. The rubbish is sited there. On top of the hill on the west side is small lay-by, there is also more fly tipping there ie lengths of polished wood.

Hedge needs cutting right upto sign which a machine may not do because of the risk of damaging it

1 in7 sign towards Silverdale from yealand storrs where 4 years the location of cycle accident 4 years ago is completely overgrown by its surrogate hedge . This has happen because one year to the next it doesn’t get cut up to the sign because the machine has to stop just short of the incase the damages the sign, 3rd August
The hedge around the sign needs cutting back to a level that will allow Silverdale bound road uses to see the sign fully and give the warning to such users of the road of the on coming decent.

Potholes everywhere & subsidence, 1st April
Potholes virtually all the way along, not been attended to for months, frequently see damaged cars parked up waiting assistance. Edge of carriageway worn away and all fill with water making it difficult to see, very dangerous to avoid on an already narrow road, please fix before a serious accident occurs!

Pothole about 1/2m long and 10cm deep on left side approaching from A6, 4th May
Pothole has been there for a considerable time, it fills with water when raining and cannot then be seen. Very dangerous on a bike or motorcycle.

Silverdale Way, 16th August
A landowner has closed the footpath and the railway have closed the public right of way? This problem needs resolving! Whilst walking from Carnforth to Milthorpe we encountered this apparent dispute which has been going on apparently for an inordinate amount of time resulting in walkers climbing over gates and pedestrians taking risks over the rail crossing? The alternative is a two mile detour?

Subsidence in road, 7th December
The road has severe subsidence and it is not safe to negotiate this dip at more than 10 mph as it may cause damage to the car and is very uncomfortable when I have my elederly mother as a passenger. The road has been repaired on Cumbria side of county boundary.
