Building waste and vehicle taking up road and pavement, 4th August
Hello, there’s a building site next to 22 Preston Street and for many months (since Feb I think!) a digger has either been sat on the road or in the site. There’s a pile of pipes, pallets and old furniture and now the shovel of the digger sat on the road taking up at least 3 parking spaces. In all that time, the site has been in use three times. It’s such a nuisance to the neighbourhood and there doesn’t seem to be any urgency to get on with the work despite the huge inconvenience to all around. Please can they be moved on or at least made to clear the road of their rubbish? I live across the road with a toddler and it’s making life very difficult.

BLACK ICE ON GRAG BANK ROAD/CRAG BANK LANE DURING fREEZING WEATHER., 23rd January
The junction of Cragg Bank Road and Gragg Bank Lane LA5 9BY has been treacherous in the freezing weather. There is a 10 bed nursing home on Crag Bank Lane ( Keer Sands) and a Holgates caravan park. The junction from Cragg Bank Lane is on a steep incline to Cragg Bank Road, often with parked cars and it is used by dog walkers. Please can Cragg Bank Road and junction of the Cragg Bank Lane be gritted in future? An ambulance would find it difficult to negotiate in freezing conditions and parked cars and dog walkers make the journey dangerous in icy conditions, even in a Landrover. There is ample space for a Gritter to turn at the junction, Many thanks Erica Sarney.

Pile of abandoned furniture Stainton St., 27th October
8 Stainton Street is a private let. A mound of furniture appeared over the weekend, which made it nigh on impossible for the telephone engineers to access their telegraph pole with the cherry-picker yesterday. All we need is a gust of wind and this detritus could damage other peoples property/vehicles too. This is a communal right of way and none of the houses have back yards.
