Traffic lights on A590 on road heading for Ulverston., 11th October
I am staggered and appalled that once again today the A590 has been the subject of a major delay by allowing contractors to lay cable and use temporary traffic lights during the day much to the inconvenience of all motorists. Surely the time has come for this work to be carried at night. My return journey from Penny Bridge to Barrow took 21/2 hours. This is totally unacceptable.

Deep pothole, 27th August
I hit this pothole with my car and felt the need to stop and check my vehicle for damage. The bang was that bad but I was actually surprised it hadn’t damaged it. A motorcyclist or cyclist could easily be thrown off if they hit this. It is in the middle of the road.

Passing cars are hitting each other. This road is used by pedestrians with no pavement, 21st June
Rising rake lane after lime tree road On the right is a lamp post that reduces the size of road. On the left is a pipe that looks like the gas supply running up a wall.
Car are hitting each other if a pedestrian was on the road at this time flying debris could hit them.
If it is a gas pipe surely the road should have a passing point here This would slow traffic and protect pedestrians.

The section between the railway bridge and SJB school has brambles behind a fence which grow out and onto the road. The pavement is already narrow here, and the brambles force the children going to school to walk on the road to avoid them. A child is going to end up getting hit by a car because this section of pavement is unsafe to walk on.

New potholes, 31st December
Tarmac which has been thrown in the previously reported potholes last week has already come out. Also others appearing at end of street.
The road is a disgrace and you spend millions on a roundabout to direct more cars onto this Main Road and do nothing to repair a road that has more traffic on now and was already in poor condition.
