FIXMYSTREET IN LA12 8EP
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LA12 8EP:
Road closed sign - is it genuine?, 15th December
A road closed sign has been placed this week 14.12 2020 at the southern end of the U5077 in Gawthwaite. I suspect this is to stop 4x4 off roaders using the northern end over the fell. How long will the sign be there? It makes it look as if there is no access for deliveries to 1 and 2 Highfield.

Road surface badly damaged and potholed, 28th July
Deep potholes have been forming over a period of time and the road surface is breaking up over a wide area at this junction. This probably started when road repairs were badly completed after undergrounding of electricity cables some years ago and the problem is now being made worse by heavy farm vehicles using the junction on a regular basis.

Off Road vehicle damage, 4th August
There is evidence of recent and historic abuse by off-road vehicles (MotoCross Motorbikes). This is causing an eyesore and promoting erosion even worse than that caused by mountain bikes! This is on Great Burney and between Burney and Combs (even on the stone age/iron age remains!)
