Drivers frequently failing to stop when joining Meathop roundabout from A590 Eastbound., 5th March
Drivers frequently fail to stop when joining this roundabout from the A590 eastbound when there is clearly another car on the roundabout going round to the join the dual carriageway heading East.
Narrowly avoided a collision on many occasions.
This has been worse since the white hatched box was painted on the roundabout.

Vehicles coming down lindale hill are not stopping at the roundabout .Coming onto the roundabout from Grange the new road marking forces you into the left lane on roundabout , before we could go into right as well . Cars are slamming on as they think we’ll go into the right hand lane as before, 31st January

Failure to complete line markings, 27th December
As the B5277 joins the A590 the road markings haven’t been renewed so as I was on the roudabout a vehicle pushed me over from the A590. Please properly re paint this line

Slippy corner., 20th November
I have come off the roundabout onto the bypass today in a 7.5ton lorry and found it was very slippy in the inside lane, i had the same issue 2 weeks back in a small van, this could be quite dangerous as someone could come to fast and slide into the other lane or spin out.

Malfunctioning speed camera, 2nd August
The speed camera on the west bound side of the road seems to be malfunctioning. It seems to flash whenever a car goes through. This happened to me a couple of weeks ago and after having just driven through again this evening (at 45mph, i.e. well below the limit) it flashed three times Thanks (p.s.hoping it's not dishing out tickets)

Speed Camera flashing at every car, 28th July
Whilst travelling West (Kendal to Barrow) this morning Friday 28.07.2023 approx 7.45am - I was in a line of traffic travelling approx 50 miles per hour in a 60 miles per hour zone, the speed camera flashed for every car passing through.

Carriageway is sinking badly, 11th July
On the A590 eastbound, just before Greystones filling station the carriageway is sinking very badly on the left side lane of the dual carriageway. A fracture down the centre of the road is starting to appear, and HGV’s are clearly bottoming out with the amount of skid marks appearing. Driving over this section of road is extremely uncomfortable, with severe oscillation which, in my opinion, is becoming a safety issue. In the short term I would recommend bollarding off the left lane section until just past the filling station until effective repairs can be carried out. This section of the A590 has been a problem for many years, and any repairs never seem to last.

Road surface sunk and dangerous, 2nd April
On Thursday 23rd March I was taking my daughter for a riding lesson towing her pony in the trailer. I came off the grange over sands roundabout towards the M6 and had slowed down as the road is known to be in a bad state of repair due to its sunken state, which meant I was in 3rd gear and about 30mph, I had gone over the sunken area which resulted in the trailer coming off the pick up. I called the police and was lucky to have them with me in rapid time. The policeman said the detachment of the trailer was due to the state of the road as a caravan had become unattached in the same place a few weeks earlier. Luckily no one was injured but the trailer (10 month old) has been written off. I would like a response on how you will deal with this please?
