Uneven top layer of tarmac as broken off in many random places, 1st April
The photographs do not do this section justice, nor can you really see what a delight this section of road is to cycle along (if you like being jolted from your seat and having to sway all over the road just to maintain a flattish surface) unless you have indeed cycled along it. From Sunnymede Avenue to Green Lanes, the thick top section of this road has broken up randomly causing an estuary of uneven rivulets and channels in the road surface filling your "safe" cycle with edge-of-the-saddle excitement and pain.

Deep flooding at entrance to cycle way, 1st April
The drainage along this road at the entrance to the cycleway crossing into Plough Road is very poor. Water floods here right along the street and in the dark it's difficult to see what might be lying underneath and whether it is even safe to enter.

Double yellow lines to be reinstated after repair, 1st April
Double yellow lines need to be repainted now the repair has finally been made. Not the poor drainage, Note also that the repair only dealt with the large pothole, it has not improved the jolt that all cyclists will feel when riding over the hump that runs across the remainder of the road from here and at various other places along this road. All these deteriorating concrete joints causing top surface erosion will soon become potholes so please fix them now to avoid future injuries.

Parallel and perpendicular potholes and humps along this road, 1st April
There are regular failures of the tarmac surface in strips across this road, each one causing a jolt to cyclists riding over them. Only one small patch has recently been repaired at the Chessington Road end of this road. Also at the junction with Oakhurst Road is a right-angled set of potholes, now becoming a deep rut which is big enough for a road bike wheel to be caught in, like a tram line.
