On Thursday 23rd January, our 5 week old son was rushed to hospital in a 999 "Blue light" ambulance with suspected meningitis. It was a horrendous experience made worse by having to watch the ambulance slow down to a crawl to tip-toe through multiple pot holes in the Colony Wood access road. This road is the single access point for 4 properties. It serves access to vulnerable groups including young children, elderly, disabled and emergency medical personel. The road surface is in awful condition and requires urgent resurfacing work immediately.

Impossible to avoid deep potholes., 26th December
Throughout this year, the number and depth of potholes has increased dramatically. Also, adjacent farming activities have resulted in the road becoming a conduit for surface water drainage. This is a single track road and the destruction of the grass verges by farming activity has now made it difficult and in places impossible to negotiate on coming traffic.

Road repairs, 7th February
Whilst the road indicated on the map is a minor single track road, it serves several properties and is now in a very poor condition with holes which I have attempted to repair myself using cold tar macadam purchased at my own expense. However the problem is now beyond my capabilities. One section has collapsed in the past and appears to be subsiding again. If allowed to worsen, the road will become impassable.
