General mess at The Square end of Church Street, 22nd June
This has often been reported before and the excuse given for not cleaning the street has always been the proliferation of parked cars associated with the garage, meaning it is impossible to do a decent job. Would it not be possible put up a notice saying that parking was banned for a limited period, mark the problem area with cones, and then do the job properly? It seems a pity that the route to the caravan park and the Golf Club should be left in a mess, especially at the beginning of the tourist season.

Uncleaned street, 4th August
Because of the parking of cars, frequently untaxed and/or unroadworthy, using the garage located in Church Street, the street cleaning vehicle is NEVER used to clean the street properly. There are patches of oil which has dripped from the cars, the drains are blocked to the extent that in the event of heavy rain flooding is almost certain, and the accumulation of wet leaves can make walking a sllippery business. The same situation prevails round the corner where cars awaiting repair are parked in The Square.

Blocked road drains, 3rd August
After the rain in the last few days, I watched the road drains not take away the rain water around Dornoch Square. The road was awash as they are all chocked with silt

Countless potholes, 6th February
There are innumerable potholes, some quite large, along this road from Dornoch to Embo, becoming most pronounced around Hilton of Embo and around the bus stop. Every ~3 months a few of said potholes are filled with tar, but the tar rapidly wears away and only around three of the many are filled at any one time. As some of these potholes are quite large and dangerous, they may pose a safety risk; additionally, they are an element in the lowness of land values in an otherwise clean and profitable area. It would cost little and contribute much if these potholes, a thing rightly left behind with the close of the 19th century and the decline of macadamised roads, effectively filled in.

Childrens Park covered in dog mess, 27th January
Re-occurring problem of the park at Stafford Road becoming covered in dog mess. Have had council out to clean it previously, they were prompt and thorough, but the problem is back. There is dog mess ON THE PLAY EQUIPMENT. It is dotted all around the playing field. You cannot use the park without stepping in it. It needs to be cleaned and the dog owner needs to be caught and fined. Also the streets around are dotted with piles of it.

Rubbish in Dornoch Square, 2nd April
Youngsters sitting in cars in middle of Dornoch Square are chucking bottles, cans & papers from parked cars most days or evenings
Not all are guilty but one or two leave a terrible mess which has to be cleaned up by Council staff most mornings.
I wonder if the Council can ask the police to give them a warning.
