Strath village riddled with large potholes, 12th February
The roads between Kerrysdale A832 and Strath Gairloch B8021 is an absolute disgrace. There are a variety of potholes, road verges breaking away. Its not only a eyesore but highly dangerous for smaller vehicles travelling up and down these routes. They will have to be fixed at some stage or the road wont be passable so lets get it done now or early spring otherwise its going to deteriorate further.

Flush mechanism not working in public toilet, 2nd January
1) Public toilet on Pier Road, Gairloch - flush mechanism in left cubicle in ladies toilets not working. Been faulty for a long long time. In order to flush, you have to push the handle hard into the wall some 6-8 times in quick succession. Not everyone has the strength, not everyone persists. Consequently the toilet is not being flushed after every use
2) The state of the heater mounted on the wall is alarming. It is rusty, unhygienic and doesn't look like it is safe.
3) Someone needs to be paid to do a regular deep clean of the tiles on the floors, and particularly around the edges (see photos). While the walls have been painted recently, the general state of the toilets looks like something out of the 1960s, and especially the tiles. It looks unhygienic, and using these toilets is not a pleasant experience.
4) The door of the cubicle on the right has been sticking for some time - it is impossible to open it from the inside using the handle: requires the top of the door to be gripped (don't know what short ladies or children do to get out)

Flush mechanism in ladies toilet faulty, 2nd January
The flush mechanism in the left cubicle in the ladies toilets is faulty. Has been like it for a long time. You have to try to push it in hard, successively, for about 6 or 7 times before the toilet will flush. It is hard to push in. Many people do not persist, hence the toilet is not being flushed after every use.
Also what appears to be a heater is surely overdue to be retired - see photo. It's rusty, looks unmaintained and unhygienic: it certaonly doesn't look like a safe piece of electrical equipment.
Someone needs to be paid to do a deep clean of the toilets. Although walls have been painted recently, there is still dirt around edges of tiles. It never looks clean, or hygienic
