FIXMYSTREET IN IV14 9ES
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of IV14 9ES:
Unavoidable potholes rapidly deteriorating, 16th February
These potholes are getting deeper by the day especially the one on the far left on the pictures. Vehicles cannot avoid these potholes due to the width of the road so the are rapidly deteriorating. When it is raining, the pot hole fills up and hides the depth of the pot hole and hides what is a major trip hazard for the pedestrians and cyclists that pass it. This is a street that has around 30 houses beyond this point and the road is the only way in or out so these pot holes cannot be avoided.

Abandoned vehicles and damage to manhole cover, 14th January
Hi. There is a cycling event in the area, the organiser came to my door beforehand to say that vehicles will park at the neighbouring hotel but not obstructing my private parking space or road. Vehicles are lined on my private single track road, I have also just arrived back home and witness a car damage a water drain( I think it’s water but not entirely sure) and proceed to park. I shouted over at the person but they have just walked off knowing they have caused damage as it made a very loud noise. I have the vehicle reg.

Lrge hole at side of road, 8th February
At the junction of Kinnahaird farm road and A834 there is a large part where the side of the road has given way. This is a danger to traffic particularly when there are vehicles coming in the opposite direction and this area is required to pull in on the single track road. This is a very real danger as a car could "belly" here if a wheel went over the edge Needs repaired urgently! Increased traffic at present due to road closure in village makes this even more urgent

Drainage problem causing ice and danger of cars sliding on to A835., 10th January
There is a lot of water flowing down from land adjacent to the bottom of Woodland Park, Contin causing a large amount of ice to build up on Woodland Park and onto the A835 (despite Woodland Park now being on the gritting list, for which we are most grateful). This causes cars to struggle to stop at the bottom of Woodland Park and may slide on to the A835 trunk road. Please could you put in a drain on the left at the bottom of the road to help prevent this. Thank you.

Danger of cars slipping on to trunk road, 13th December
Woodland Park has not been gritted. Due to continuing adverse weather conditions there is a serious risk of cars sliding straight on to the A835. This has been the case since Friday 8th December.

Drainage problem & regular ice hazard at entrance to Woodland Park, 28th February
Water flows down and across half of the entrance to Woodland Park due to a drainage problem. This creates a serious ice hazard when the temperature falls below zero as there is a large ice patch on the road where it joins the A835. I ended up sideways this morning right at the end of Woodland Park with a large lorry approaching! All a bit hair raising.

Potholes on A834 between Contin and Strathpeffer, 9th February
There are a huge number of potholes on the road between Contin and Strathpeffer. They are getting worse daily and are now so bad and so numerous that cars are having to drive down the middle of the road. The worst part is the corner by the only house on the left hand side heading towards Contin. Here you are forced to greatly slow down and pick over the holes slowly so as to avoid damage to your vehicle. Please could you fix this as soon as is practicable. I am concerned about damage to my car as I need to use this road several times a day. Many thanks.
