FIXMYSTREET IN HU17 8JJ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of HU17 8JJ:
Confusing lane guidance arrows, 10th December
Taking the 2nd exit from the A1079 Beverley Bypass has confusing lane guidance arrows which I believe in the long run in a recipe for a crash. The arrows show a left arrow for the left lane, even though the left lane is also designated for the 2nd exit onto A1079 York, so its easy to assume the 2nd exit would be for York. However, if you use the 2nd lane, you end up in the lane for the 3rd exit, and have to cross lane to get onto the 2nd exit. Many people do this crossing over to get onto the 2nd exit, due to this confusion. All it would take is to change the sign so that the left lane shows both left and straight or something. This sign is still present today. Yes the text below says Use left lane for York and Walkington, but the lane guidance stands out much more and therefore I believe this should be changed. Thanks

Hedge clippings, 27th October
Once again we users of the Molescroft to Cherry Burton cycle path have to suffer the hedge-clippings sprayed over the path and not swept up by the irresponsible farmer along this stretch. I have just walked a mile home after a puncture.
Why can the council not take action to ensure these clippings are swept up on the same day they appear? Surely this is covered under local bye-laws regarding litter? If I threw a load of nails on the adjacent B1248 and caused vehicle tyre punctures I would be charged with causing criminal damage. Why do cyclists have to suffer in silence over this irresponsibility?
