Will the council ensure that the contractors repair this road properly. The laying of the gas main has involved digging chunks out of this road. The repairs are poor at least one near to the verge is sinking. The road & verge should be tidided up and left how they found it rather than left in a muddy mess. Thanks

Pothole, 21st April

Mon, 21 Apr 2008 10:23:50 +0100
53.8774722939494 -0.45508580349975

There has been a pothole in the road outside our house since we moved in over a year ago. At this point it was not a real problem as it was not very deep. However over the last 6 months it has grown in size and depth, now becoming a real hazard in the road. Cars will often wait for oncoming cars to pass so that they can drive round the pothole, causing a backlog of traffic. When you have no other choice and must drive over the pothole your car sinks right down into it, potentially causing quite severe damage to the vehicle. Also due to the number of heavy vehicles from the RAF base and now from developers wagons it causes quite a lot of noise when they go over the hole at quite a high speed. The road is often very busy at around 8am and 5pm as employees of the RAF leave/arrive at work. If you could help on this matter I would be most grateful.
