Dangerous parking., 19th October
People parking their vehicles on road onto entrance of Weghill Road, when turning into East End Road it is forced into a single lane and you cannot see for vehicles coming towards you until you enter the street.

Constant whining, crying and meowing for hours on end, 10th November
Non-stop whining, crying and meowing at the rear of number 39 (HU12 8SE). This is coming from a tortoiseshell kitten which appears neglected. It is stressing our animals out because it hasn't been neutered! Hearing it crying 24/7 is miserable and no life for the kitten. This has been going on since April 2017 when the owners had a baby. The RSPCA has been contacted but failed to follow up.

Damaged "Give Way" Sign, 27th October
The "Give Way" sign when approaching Preston from Sproatley has been damaged (on the right-hand side of the road). It is laid flat on the floor and so is the post which was holding it up.
I reported this same sign a few months ago. It just gets repaired by ERYC and it's down again. Maybe worth putting a new one further from the field entrance and crossroads?

Overgrown trees on public highway/footpath, 13th August
Overgrown hedges and trees from a private property causing an obstruction on the public footpath and road. The owner is refusing to maintain them. Some of the large branches have broken in the gale force wind. The next windy day we have they are liable to fall on a car or pedestrian walking the public highway/footpath.
The property directly accross the road is damp due to the trees/hedges failing to be maintained. They have grown too high and are causing damage to the public highway, footpath, and other residents property making the owner liable.

No Street Lighting, 27th November
No Street Lighting between the B1239 (Nags Head pub, Main St, Preston) and Cranswick Country Foods, Neat Marsh Road, Preston.
This would not be an issue but the Stagecoach 677 leaves from this entrance of Cranswick Foods as a public services bus at 5:45am, 6:15am, 5:45pm and 6:15pm. It is pitch black walking down the narrow country lane and before long someone will end up road kill. Even Stagecoach drivers cannot see to reverse their vehicles in the entrance of Cranswick.

Road signs hit and broken after a farm vehicle hit them, 23rd July
Thursday evening, a farm vehicle (sprayer) either lost a front wheel or the front axle broke so the vehicle veered off the road on to the verge. No one was hurt (thankfully!) but it wasn't until the following morning, I noticed the sign damaged. I'm sorry I don't have details of farm vehicle or anyone involved but thought I should report the damaged sign.

Overflowing bin in park at Astley Close/Robson Way., 30th June
Bin has been overflowing with rubbish for over a week now. Rubbish is beginning to blow around the park, field, roads and homes. Needs to be sorted asap really.

Bus Timetable Information, 21st September
The bus timetable information in the village is incorrect. Since ERYC started giving the contracts to Stagecoach Hull, Stagecoach have failed to update the 277,78, 677 and 242 information through the outlying villages of Preston, Hedon, Sproatley, Paull, Wyton, Bilton, etc. EYMS Ltd have updated their information and it appears the last bus through Preston is at 4:30pm. The first bus is specified as 6:54am. This is not the case but the elderly & vulnerable are not online to see this! Both Stagecoach and HCC are passing the blame to each other so will you please resolve the issue given ERYC were the ones who issued the contract to a Hull company.

Stink from Saltend water treatment works, 19th September
My house stinks of the vile smells coming from Saltend site water treatment plant. Windows are all closed and the smell is still in my home. Outside stinks. This is disgusting! It stunk this morning in Preston and again tonight.
