ISSUE: Begging at Broadfields retail park and Co-op Fairford Leys.
ACTION: Ongoing begging issues around Co-Op Fairford Leys and Broadfields. This is mainly happening outside Marks and Spencer on Broadfields and the Co-Op Fairford Leys. We are conducting regular patrols in both areas and engaging with any persons found begging. The issue is made more complex with members of the public and retail staff actively buying food and drink for these individuals and therefore encouraging them to remain. Information gathered also suggests that these males are being used as look outu2019s for shoplifters
