The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of HP18 0NY:
Potholes near the drives to Church end House, Old Scholars, Church Farm and the Old School. All close to the Church at Wotton Underwood and ALL ON THE ADOPTED ROAD!, 22nd April
Numerous potholes ranging in size from 60cm long, 40cm wide and 22cm deep to 1 metre long, 50 cm wide and 25cm deep.
The potholes have been increasing in size over the past 6 to 8 months.
Carers visit a patient in the Old School numerous times a day to offer medical support.
All the potholes are making it extremely difficult to drive into any of the properties mentioned. They are on both the left and right hand sides on the road travelling either towards the direction on the houses or away from them down the road.

Potholes on road in Wotton Underwood on left and right side of road approaching the Church., 22nd April
Potholes approximately 55cm long, 35cm wide and 20cm deep on both the left and right hand sides on the road as you approach the Church in Wotton Underwood. These along with “numerous other potholes” are maiming it extremely difficult to drive to a number of houses including Churchend House, Old Scholars, the Old School and church farm. Ada died to which carers need to visit a patient in the Old School numerous times every day to offer medical assistance. There are in reality so many potholes in the vicinity someone from the Bucks council needs to come and survey the entire section of the Adopted road. The potholes have been increasing in size over the past 6 to 8 months.

Footpath bridge broken between Dorton and Ashendon, 18th April
Footpath bridge rotten and broken away where it crosses a stream on a field boundary. Bridge located between Dorton and Ashendon on Ashendon side of Chiltern Railway line - 1 field width from railway on footpath.

Just before the sharp bend at the bottom of the road leading from Ashendon between The Old Station and Station Cottage, 13th April
There is a large pothole developing just before the bend causing traffic to move to the wrong side of the road in a dangerous location. This fault was repaired less than two weeks ago and failed within days. The repair was inspected by highways personnel on 4th / 5th April and deemed to be a failed repair but this has yet to be rectified. The original report was deemed to be a matter of urgency and was actioned in a timely manner and the remedial work now required needs to be similarly expedited.

Reported this two weeks ago and still this pothole is present. Previously filled in which has broken down again, leaving a deep pothole. Side nearest Ashfold school grounds.

Just before the sharp bend at the bottom of the road leading from Ashendon to Wotton Underwood, 25th March
At the bottom of the hill a new pothole has opened up between two stop cock covers. The tarmac has gone and the substrate is being eroded rapidly as vehicles encounter the pothole. The position of the pothole on the road is causing vehicles to deviate onto the wrong side of the road immediately before the sharp bend thereby increasing the risks of an RTA.

Dorton Road from Chilton as you start to decend towards Dorton, 18th March
A number of potholes have merged in this area close to a bend in the road, it is almost impassable and risks damaging vehicles. It is also dangerous as to avoid the large potholes requires vehicles to enter the other side of the carriageway on a bend. This road is the main approach to a school. This repair needs to be regarded as an emergency.

Road has completely failed * Extremely dangerous *, 15th March
Thank you for your email in response to my last report stating that this issue has now been resolved. As you can see from the photo attached, it is definitely not resolved! There are multiple, very deep potholes which are obscured by the water filling them. They are now so big that there is no longer a safe route through and you have to drive up onto the grass bank to get through.

Large deep pothole that has been previously repaired, 14th March
Dorton Road by Ashfold School. Large and deep pothole that has been previously repaired has now reappeared.

Extremely large and dangerous pothole across the road, 14th March
This part of the road has been patched up on numerous occasions. There is now an extremely large pothole due to the surface breaking down again, which is situated in the middle of the lane. As the width of the lane is a little narrow, it leaves you no choice but to drive into the hole, and as this is on a bend it is very dangerous with oncoming traffic. With other local roads being closed at the moment due to resurfacing, this is now a main route for many, especially those taking and collecting children from Ashfold school. There is also the local farm traffic of large, heavy vehicles to consider, therefore the patching up of these holes is not sufficing.

Completely failed and dangers road surface, 14th March
Reporting this again as "road surface" this time, as when I reported as a pothole on the 28 February 2024 still nothing has been done. This is beyond dangerous in each of your factors: - its depth - its surface area - safety of road users - location and usage of the road
The attached picture makes this quiet clear. Will you please do your mandate of maintaining roads to acceptable standard, this whole stretch is in disgraceful condition. Many children are taken on this route to local schools and exposed to increased risk.
