Overgrown hedge reducing highway width, 25th April

Thu, 25 Apr 2024 14:17:02 +0100
51.789684 -0.929313

Dadbrook House has a very large box hedge on the west of Dadbrook which is over hanging the highway and a lack of maintenance has caused the earth verge to encroach onto the highway. Buses and HGV's now need to drive around 50cm over the white lines directly into oncoming traffic to get past which led to my wife being run off the road on the opposite kerb to avoid a head on collision. This has been an issue since at least summer 2023. I have raised it with the home owner but they do not wish to cut the hedge back properly because they believe it is protected.

Large and deep pothole that has been reported a number of times, including by me, and been informed its been repaired. If this is genuinely the case, it is almost immediately failing and requires a more permanentsolution. It's been full of water for some time which masks just how deep it is. Anecdotally, I've heard of several drivers that have damaged their vehicles driving over this. It is a matter of time before someone ends up seriously hurt swerving to avoid it or being catapulted into the verge.

This is on Bridgeway in the middle of the road opposite the driveway of The Little House., 10th April

Wed, 10 Apr 2024 16:59:52 +0100
51.793066 -0.933425

This appeared last December following a burst water pipe which was mended. This dip is gradually getting worse. More worrying is that every time a larger vehicle drives over it, it is now causing The Little House to shake and shudder. This is happening numerous times a day with buses, coaches, tractors and HGV passing through.

Aylesbury Road, Chearsley, 19th March

Tue, 19 Mar 2024 19:27:10 +0000
51.792335 -0.955854

During a recent ‘litter-pick’ carried out by volunteers both on the approach roads into Chearsley Village and within the village itself, there was much evidence of illegal fly-tipping, especially on the verges and ditches on both sides of the Aylesbury Road leaving the village and leading to Cuddington. The worst example was a large skip bag containing a huge amount of rubbish, as well as the broken pieces from a large terracotta plant pot lying adjacent to the bag. The skip bag carried the brand-name of Camiers Skip & Grab Hire https://www.camiers.co.uk/ The attached photograph was taken on Monday 18th March, although it is believed that this fly-tipping incident took place some weeks ago. Although the team of volunteers cleared much rubbish from all the verges and ditches on the approach roads to their village, they left these items in the ditch (at the roadside, approx. 200m from the village exit on the right-hand side) pending inspection and investigation by Bucks Council.
