FIXMYSTREET IN HP14 3JY
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of HP14 3JY:
What 3 words location ///hotel.allowable.explored, 9th May
Blocked drain on south side edge of road, between my house, Long Acre, Green End Road, and my neighbour at Lark Rise. And if I remember correctly the blockage is deeper than the usual crew were able to resolve last year. I know work is now scheduled but I’m not sure of the extent & it would be a shame if it needed further excavation to resolve the drain having just redone the surface.

Suspected sinkhole, 3rd May
Linked to report ref 5537221. When I called the council for an update today, I was asked to submit a separate report in order to receive an update on this. Suspected sinkhole (significant dip) on roadside verge - an issue since last year. Telegraph pole and road sign both impacted and need straightening. The dip did extend into the road but resurfacing took place several months ago to correct. All roadwork signs and barriers left behind. Please confirm what action will be taken to fix the verge sinkhole (and please confirm when roadwork signs/ barriers will be collected). Thank you

Linked to job: 5619894 - Entrance on the right before the 30MPh signs is heading north, 29th April
The below issue got fixed last week, but with the rainfall over the weekend it has become evident that the issue still remains, water is still coming over the kerbstones and into the fields, can this be reinspected.
Original job below:
Ramp was built up by highways about 20 years ago to stop water from running from the road into the entrance and then through into the adjoining fields. Since the road was resurfaced in 2021 the water now flows over the ramp as the road surface is higher than before the resurfacing. Please can this be looked into as in heavy rain the water runs from the road and floods the field that have stables in them. This is damaging the land and is not good for the horses. Land owner is there at approx 10am and 4pm daily if you would like to meet on site

Muddy bank layby, 25th April
For the past 18 mths there has been a caravan that parks up permanently overnight and is living here. in the past 3 months a further caravan has appeared with a truck and has cut down vegetation and set up a permanent street stall selling carvings which are carved on site. This is a mess and not only an eyesore but causes issues with cars slowing at a dangerous junction to see what is going on.

Horsleys Green Road, HP14 3UX, 11th April
As you can see from the photographs it is a very dangerous situation for pedestrians following heavy showers. People have to walk in the middle of the road in order to pass through because there is no path to walk on. It is extremely dangerous and an accident waiting to happen. The road has sunk over a period of time probably due to increased heavy traffic. Also the side grass verges have been destroyed by heavy vehicles. The council committed to returning the road to the same condition that it was prior to the Wycliff development so we urgently await the fulfilment of that commitment before someone is badly injured or even killed.
