Poor vision on the bend at Jumwell beck bridge, 21st July
This is an extremely dangerous bend on Low Moor Lane as the road changes to single track. The problem being that some motorists who "cut through" to or from Ripon approach this bend at fast speeds unaware that this is a blind bend until its too late. Hedges have become overgrown thus vision around the bend is impared. Existing warning signs are totally inadequate. Please cut back the hedges and improve warning signs. There is another bend further up Low Moor Lane which could do with improved warning signs as this is a less acute bend often approached at high speed but again to a lesser degree blind. Road works are due to start any day now so this is your chance to sort this dangerous situation out. Thankyou John Bashall Chair of Brearton meeting

Blocked road gullies, 7th September
Breartons road gullies have recently been serviced and cleaned out. However water still doesn't drain away and the gullies fill up with water and overflow. It would seem that the underground pipe connection between the gullies and the sewer pipe are blocked up and need jetting clear. Until this work is carried out, clearing of the gullies remains ineffective and water still flows on the road surface and down the village. There is still the problem with standing water on the road outside Woolwich cottages at the entrance to Brearton village

Footpath and bridle path closed for many months due to fallen bridge., 26th March
The closure of the bridle path has meant that there is no longer access onto off road horse riding on the Mountgarret estate from Low Moor Lane opposite the junction to market flat lane (without a considerable detour). The bridge has now been out of action for many months and though an access route around this problem is available it is impossible because of a) difficult gates catches to open and b) padlock recently attached.

Road side has crumbled away, leaving a dangerously deep gully., 21st February
This gully is just mud and is getting bigger and deeper with every shower. With each rain fall, mud is washed down into the road causing hazardous driving/stopping (which is now opposite a new junction. The gully has been there for more than six months.
Recently the Council repaired a small edge of the gully slightly further up, and other pot holes along this road, but completely ignored the the worst part! I watched them stop, point and shake their heads before moving on!

Garden waste bins left in the middle of the driveway blocking access to vehicle gaining access to the two properties that share the drive, 25th November
Garden refuse bins left in the middle of the driveway by council recycling staff once emptied. This is a shared driveway and they constantly leave them in the middle of the driveway blocking access for two families exiting and entering their properties. No one else in the village has this problem so please treat us with the same respect as others. The driveway is splayed at the bottom where refuse is left so there is ample room for them to be left without causing an obstruction to the people of live here

Work within the road which looks to be underground utility work, has been completed to a poor standard. The road surface has several horizontal surface work, the latest being on then bend. The finish is poor causing a sunken dip. Cycle this way often, and this corner is now becoming dangerous due to the poor surface on the bend. Whomever completed the works should be brought back to finish it to a decent standard.
