Hidden/unseen pothole, 29th April

Sun, 29 Apr 2018 19:52:58 +0100
53.938619 -1.536389

There is a deep pothole that is difficult to see on the right hand side of the carriageway going north towards Harrogate up the hill. It’s circled in red in the attached picture, it looks to be in a rectangular 1m x 2m previous repair/patch. The colour and texture of this tarmac makes it very difficult to see and catches driver out.

Pothole, 14th March

Mon, 14 Mar 2016 14:41:51 +0000
53.910845 -1.526658

The pavement edge has broken away in several places. I have already tripped myself on it twisting my ankle slightly when crossing the road to the bus stop & am now worried my children may do when going for the bus..if they fall from it in the hole they could end up in the road especially when it's dark. If you could pleae send someone out to assess what needs doing to repair. Thank you & look forward to hearing from you.

Pitch Black Single Carriageway (A61) Between Harewood Bridge and Buttersyke Bridge, 14th January

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 13:07:33 +0000
53.939139 -1.536315

As we travel to Harrogate District Hospital from Moortown/Alwoodley, Leeds regularly, the Single Carriageway (A61-60mph) between Harewood Bridge and Buttersyke Bridge is very difficult to drive at night. It is pitch black as there is no street light. I understand it will be very costly to install lights all the way through with regular interval but installation of street lights with longer gaps, in hazardous turns, uphill and downhills would help the commuters feel safer. Often found commuters driving with leaving Full beam ON. That is dangerous too - but how could we blame them? As the commuters are increasing on this road, coulncil need to rethink on lighting plans. Leeds is thriving with business and population. The place is becoming popular. So as this streets need upgrading. Regards

The bus shelter on the A61 near the junction with Weeton Lane. The seats are filthy yet a simple wash down would suffice. Any unsuspecting person sitting down in the dark would have their clothing soiled.

Fly tipping, 12th February

Thu, 12 Feb 2015 12:32:08 +0000
53.9225790947177 -1.5249270067596

On the side of the road, on the way to Kirkby overblow as if your coming off leeds road (towards hardwood) it's on the left hand side just down the lane (Swindon lane)Was lots of mattresses possibly 3, and sofa and general waste dumped in farmers field. It is now on the side of the road by the hedge. I wonder if the farmer has moved it out his field. Looks messy and horrid. People shouldn't be able to just get away with this. Possibly been there about 1-2 weeks.
