Metal inspection hatch protruding from main carriageway., 25th February
Due to erosion and poor repair this piece of metal is causing significant difficulties to drivers and serious risk to cyclists. Although this Council does not accept complaints from 3rd party sites does not absolve them from responsibility.

B761 West Mains Road is a 30mph road, however for some reason the speed limit sign on the left hand side (entering from A726 Queensway) has been turned round showing 50mph.

Breakdown of road surface, 24th April
15 metres of road running up to the junction is completely worn down to base rock layer. Has been reported previously and top filled with loose chips but this has spread all over road and is a skid hazard.

This whole slip road is covered in potholes. Driving on this slip road is nightmare having to swerve all over it to try and avoid them, but its extremely difficult not to hit any of them.

Very Poor Surface, 5th February
Area as a whole in very poor repair, particularly bad around on-slips but large potholes and poor surface the full extent of the duelled section of A726.
Poor quality fix applied in the summer (gravel style surface) and this is coming away already.

Footpath reduced to single file due to overgrown vegetation, 27th July
The footpath has been reduced to single file due to overgrown vegetation.
This is on the DFID (Department For International Development) side of the road and has been like this for the past few months and is getting worse.
The path will soon be unusable for prams due to vegetation and the drain that encroaches on the pavement.

Complete breakdown of road tarmac surface, potholes and skid risk at junction, 26th June
1) There is a complete breakdown of the top tarmac surface at this junction. The resulting road surface is rocky and uneven. 2) There are a number of large potholes at the junction area. 3) The potholes have been poorly filled with loose gravel which has become displaced across the road. This creates a lack of grip on the approach to the junction and a skid risk upon turning onto the affected road. 4) The road is a designated cycle route. The presence of loose gravel causing a skid risk, large potholes and an uneven surface at a junction should be addressed as they pose a risk to cycling at this point.
