Hazardous Road Surface, 7th January
The road between Oak Cross and Lower Oak Farm is yet again covered in deep mud. The farmer concerned who has created the hazard blamed the council for not clearing the road properly. The Linksman repeatedly reports this problem which has become far worse in the past year. The access to the Baptist Chapel and graveyard this weekend was made extremely unsafe for both vehicles and pedestrians and is an appalling discourtesy to those who wish to attend the Sunday service and visit the graveyard. The elderly, pregnant and young children should not have to be continually subjected to such extreme conditions. We appreciate that recent weather conditions have been extreme but no effective attempt has been made either to place warning signs or to clear the road from the parking place to the access to the chapel and graveyard.

Blocked drain, 25th April
Although it has been cleared around the drain recently there is obviously a blockage further down the drain pipe. It is over flowing down the road and washing debris down at extreme could contribute to flooding.
