Hi, on the way to the Barrett houses on queens Mary court in Winchburgh. There are a lot of cars using the pavement to park when working on the new Sainsbury’s site and it’s causing a complete nuisance. There are parking bays available further away or Sainsbury’s will need to provide parking for their contractors as it’s being happening for a few weeks every weekday.

Parking on yellow zig zags outside school, 25th January
Every singe day parents who are dropping off their children at Winchburgh primary school, stop and park on the yellow zig zags outside the main school entrance. This is breaking rule 243 of the highway code. The road is extremely busy at school drop off and pick up times and parents who park on the zig zags block the road entirely, causing additional strain on the already congested road. It makes the road extremely difficult and dangerous to navigate for children trying to cross.

Blocked junction, 15th August
Junction being blocked due to road work traffic lights in bad place. queueing down niddry road unable to get out even at traffic changes. cars being parked down station road near junction blocking vehicles coming into niddry road from main street, as queues on opposite side lane waiting to get out.

Disgrace, 15th August
Build new houses but dont care about the road tax payers safety. temp traffic lights here however if a cyclist has to go through it holds up all the traffic and delay traffic getting through when lights green at other end, and some serious frustration with drivers. seriously needs cycle path installed.

I don’t know what the post had on it but the post was badly corroded and it collapsed, the dangerous remains are not far from the nursery school where you kids walk.

Yellow box of grit missing, 13th December
On the weekend we noticed our yellow box of grit disappeared. It was right on the path from Stewart Milne estate to the pond against our garden as seen in the picture. It was there since we moved in ~6 years and now it's been taken/stolen. Our paths are completely frozen, can't walk outside my door without slipping and it dangerous as people with kids walk up the wee path to get to the pond. We can't leave our house with the car either, where all the neighbours would normally use some grit for our roads and I heard other grit boxes had disappeared just when we need them most.

Missing Grit bin, 11th December
Hello,
Until recently, there was a yellow grit bin in Glendevon Farm place. As per my attached image, it was positioned in the parking layby, against the wall.
The monobloc road surface is today like an ice rink, which is particularly dangerous on the bend in the picture attached (where a driver once skidded on ice, knocking down the lamppost).
Can I respectfully ask that another grit bin be placed in the original position this week, please?

Hedge over growing pavement, 13th August
An overgrown hedge has reduced the pavement width on this corner. This corner is a busy walking route for primary children, who are required to step in to the road to allow other pedestrians to pass. The hedge needs to be trimmed.

Large sign plate has fell down, 6th April
The direction sign plate on the B9080 as you approach three mile town from Winchburgh has come away from the pole and dropped down. The sign poles are fine it’s just the sign plate that has fell.

Trees close to development site, 7th January
A group of four scots pine trees are growing in a row alongside Niddrie Burn. They are a beautiful landmark in an otherwise barren field. They appear to be outside the housing development area but I am concerned that they could easily be destroyed by heavy machinery if attention is not called to their aesthetic value to the community.

Multiple deep potholes along entirety of this road, 21st June
I cycled down this road at the weekend, and was surprised to see some horrendous pot holes and degradation of the road surface. Some really bad ones where road goes under railway. Also bad dropoffs at the side of the road, that would be an accident waiting to happen for any cyclists who have to swerve out of the way.
