Chevrons on metal poles, 2nd December

Wed, 02 Dec 2009 23:23:54 +0000
56.0125248818551 -2.78822280849668

When travelling from Drem towards Dirleton, the chevrons at this tight bend are mounted on several tubular metal poles along the outside of a sharp right-hand corner. If a vehicle leaves the road for any reason it will impact with these poles (as can be seen by one of them currently being at a "jaunty" angle). As well as causing major damage to a car, this could have fatal implications for a motorcyclist. It would be safer to replace these tubular steel poles with the more modern "flap down plastic" chevrons which do little or no damage.
