Terrible potholed road surface, 10th June
The left hand side of the road (running from Betony Hill towards Drem) is really badly potholed for a stretch up to Prora Cottages. The road was recently closed but this stretch wasn't repaired.

Chevrons on metal poles, 2nd December
When travelling from Drem towards Dirleton, the chevrons at this tight bend are mounted on several tubular metal poles along the outside of a sharp right-hand corner.
If a vehicle leaves the road for any reason it will impact with these poles (as can be seen by one of them currently being at a "jaunty" angle).
As well as causing major damage to a car, this could have fatal implications for a motorcyclist.
It would be safer to replace these tubular steel poles with the more modern "flap down plastic" chevrons which do little or no damage.
