Flytipping on the verge outside of a field on an unclassified road, probably the old A6124, which joins the A6106 junction., 6th February
There are various items, one obviously a dogs basket and a white carton plus tins and other debris from a split black plastic bag outside of a field situated between the A68/A6106 and an unclassified road which runs from the A6093 to the A6106. This is a regular dumping ground, with litter strewn along the verges of this little road and other flytipping at gates into the various fields which the A6106 circumnavigates.

Large pothole partially covered by metal sheet, 23rd January
This damage on the road has been here for two years and a cone / metal sheet sits on top of the road damage which seems a temporary solution that has become semi permanent.

Temporary roadwork signs relating to roadway littering footway, 22nd November
There are several signs relating to temporary works on the road which have been thoughtlessly placed on the shared use footway/cycleway to the north. There are four signs on the short stretch indicated, two erect and two fallen and potentially very difficult to see in the dark. Signs relating to the road should be in the roadway, not potentially injuring pedestrians and cyclists.

Giant Hogweed outbreak, 30th June
There are a number of stands of giant Hogweed just south of the railway path at this location. Three have clearly been sprayed. At least three have definitely NOT been sprayed and are starting to flower.

Late amount of litter, 9th February
There is a huge amount of litter on both sides and along the length of the Dalkeith bypass, including the roundabouts and slip roads to and from the A720.
I understand a little will happen, but the sheer volume in this countryside road is shocking.

Flooded path, 7th November
This area started as a small puddle, overflow from the pond but has spread over time. Someone has put a plastic brick to step on but this is actually stopping the water from draining into the burn and causing a huge puddle now that is now spreading along the path. It will soon be impossible to pass.

Large length of path very uneven surface, 6th May
This path has been in a state of disrepair for a long time, it has become more dangerous as time has gone on. The surface is very uneven and parts where there are loose stones are almost impossible to walk on. Rain seems to have further deteriorated the condition of the path. This is from the houses at the top of the langside all the way down to the woods at the bottom with only a small area of intact path.

Large amount of litter, 7th March

Loose manhole cover at Easter Langside Drive and Cowdenfoot Loan, 26th January
The manhole appears to be loose and rattles loudly every time a vehicle drives over. It is positioned on middle of the tyre track and located directly outside our bedroom window. This has been an issue for months. The noise is constant. Please help.

Overgrown verges, 27th July
The grass on the verge is now so high that the sightlines to the north are non existent. You have to almost move into the carriageway of the A6106 to get a view. The verges on the north side of the A68/Cousland junction have been done.

Roots coming through pavement, 11th May
There is a large crack in the tar outside my back gate( 51 Carberry Court Whitecraig EH21 8PJ) that is getting gradually bigger. Recently my 2 year old granddaughter tripped over this crack and fell and skinned her hands and knees. It looks like a root from a nearby tree is breaking through the tar.
