FIXMYSTREET IN EH22 1SE
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of EH22 1SE:
4/5 cluster potholes, 20th April
I nearly had a bad accident last night trying to avoid the cluster of potholes at the 1st Newcraighall roundabout (coming from the A1) which are in the middle of the road as you take the exit into Fort Kinnaird at Pets at Home. Given the volume of traffic here, this needs fixed urgently before there is a bad accident.

Road Faults, 12th March
Large pieces of road surface damaged. Will cause damage to unsuspecting drivers entering this section of road. Drivers trying to judge the lottery attempts of completing a maneouvre around this road, accident waiting to happen. If they manage to enter this road, then they are very quickly met with the damaged surface and very little time to react before they are in the holes. Very little control over this section of road for years now. Something needs done before there is a serious incident takes place, massive improvements required as per the other two upgrades in the nearby localities.

Slippery uneven footpath, 26th February
Whenever it rains the footpath between Milligan Road and Kane Wynd becomes very slippery and difficult to use especially if you are a wheelchair user or pushing a pram. The path is unpaved and is reduced to a slippery mess whenever it rains. Can this not be paved like the other footpaths at the development?

Potholes and uneven surfaces, 14th February
This is a terrible surface at a roundabout as you’re so often looking out for other vehicles or watching where you’re going that you miss the faults in the road. There are 3 (THREE) sections of this roundabout that need attention from either potholes or huge iron covers. The West side is worst, then Nirth and East.

Excessive Speeding, 23rd January
This stretch of road is a 20mph, as is the entire estate but cars routinely speed through the estate at speeds well in access of 20mph. The Council needs to look into installing traffic calming measures throughout the main road of the estate from Milligan Drive down to Pringle Drive. In the time I have lived here a car crashed through the metal railing and into the living room of a flat. Numerous cats/dogs have been ran over. It’s only a matter of time before there is a fatality.
