Pedestrian lights not working, 21st April

Sun, 21 Apr 2024 09:02:35 +0100
55.929813 -3.223816

A number of the pedestrian lights are not working at this junction - both the red man and the green man are out on several lights. People have to decide when it’s safe to cross which is especially dangerous at a five way junction. Also, the timing of the green man needs to be lengthened to allow more time for pedestrians to cross diagonally. They shouldn’t have to do it in two stages.

Team Road works in region, potholes and signs seem not protected from vandalism Government make legislation Parliament hold Government making legislation to account Delegate to local authority who contract out Quote Guidance relating to the Traffic Signs Amendment (Scotland) Regulations and General Directions 2022 Transport Scotland 3 Introduction The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) set out the mandatory requirements for the use of traffic signs and road markings on the road network. Powers over traffic signs were devolved to Scottish Ministers under The Scotland Act 2016. Prior to this the TSRGD was applied on a UK wide basis by the Department for Transport. A Scottish Statutory Instrument (SSI) was introduced in May 2022, to enable the devolved TSRGD to be updated to meet the needs of the network in Scotland. This can be accessed at the link: The Traffic Signs Amendment (Scotland) Regulations and General Directions 2022 (legislation.gov.uk).
