The state of the pavements at the bottom and both sides of Roseberry street is shocking. John street has had theres replaced, why can't we.

Litter & old car tyres tipped along Birklands Lane from Sunniside to High Handenhold, 19th April
Litter, bin bags & car tyres are along the grass verges, on most of the roads around this area, its worst on Birklands lane from Sunniside to High Handenhold, Birkheads Lane to Silverhills and Hagg Lane to Lamesley. A visitor to Tanfield Steam Railway told me she lived in Hackney and their streets were cleaner than ours.

Obstruction on highway from householder, 9th February
Whoever lives in this property is gradually building ad-hoc defences as he seems to have some paranoia about his house being damaged. The latest is a series of poles in the ground. Some of these 'defences' seem to be dangerous and would cause significant harm as they are not normal absorbent type structures. Also with the posts there is a significant risk of causing damage to a vehicle as the useable road width has been narrowed for pasting.

There has been at least three incidents of fly tipping here in the past month, yesterday there was an old sofa dumped. Why don't you lock the gate at the end so they cannot get access to this old car park?

Grass not ever cut - used to be cut by council regularly, 23rd June
Nice back field used by people for recreation and dog walking, grass was cut regularly by council but has not been cut for 2yrs or more now.

Waste bins not emptied, 19th May
The refuse collection has failed to happen on several occasions on the Edenfield estate West Pelton, Edenfield has had a rat problem for three years now which is exacerbated by refuse not collected for a four week period .Now we understand that recycling is important,however the communities health is more important and if the refuse collection team continue to be overzealous in their refuse recycling discrimination then rubbish may end up on the roadside.in some beautyspot in a neighbouring parish. Please address this problem as the community feel victimised by the refuse collection team.
